Scottish Festival heads to Highlands Ranch

Come experience and learn more about authentic Scottish and Celtic heritage, culture, music, dancing, food, history, genealogy and athletics in a family-friendly environment.
• On Saturday, August 14, they will be hosting the 10th Anniversary Masters World Championships in Scottish athletics, the first time it’s ever been held in Denver (www.rmsa.org).
At 5 pm, stay and party with and enjoy a First-Class Celtic Rock Concert on the field (included in the price of your Saturday ticket).
• At 6 pm, there is a Hot Piping Contest be in the Glasgow Pub Tent.
• Then let your energy build as you listen to Colorado’s own Angus Mohr play Highland rock and roll complete with bagpipes (www.angusmohr.com).
• Top off the evening with the world-renowned music of Seven Nations playing Celtic rock (www.sevennations.com).
• If you can’t make it on Saturday, come out on Sunday and enjoy the Festival. Both Seven Nations and Angus Mohr will be playing on Sunday afternoon.
Advanced tickets can be purchased at www.scottishgames.org. Adults are $15; children 7-11, seniors over 60 and active military personnel are $10.
